UNESCO–Alwaleed Intangible Cultural Heritage Project
- Regions: Katavi & Rukwa.
- Trained 28 community journalists to document cultural heritage.
- Results:
- 9,765 gas stoves distributed after advocacy, reducing charcoal use.
- Revitalized endangered cultural practices (e.g., Mama Chanje dance group).
- Boosted tourism (Kalambo Falls, Royal Tour 2).
- Policy guidelines developed for ICH protection.
- UNESCO invited TAMCODE to share lessons nationally.
Voices for Water – Inclusive Freshwater Governance
- Region : Ruvuma ( Mbinga and Songea districts)
- Target: 1,500 direct beneficiaries (50% women, 40% youth).
- Indirect reach: 20,000 residents across Ruvuma Basin.
- Results:
- Formation of two committees for Environment and Water in Mbinga district
- Documented best practices to improve by laws in Ruvuma region.
