We are humbled for the opportunity and promise not to let you down,” Peti Siyame, Daily News Bureau Chief in Rukwa region.
“We are grateful to TAMCODE in collaboration with the UNESCO Alwaleed for the training as we are going to be teachers to other journalists who are yet to undertake such training. “I am grateful to TAMCODE for bringing your training to Rukwa region as you have picked journalists who are the right target as they can relay the information you provide to a larger audience. The topic is very relevant and glad that you could come to our region which some call marginalized and hard to reach. You could have chosen any other place yet you chose us,” Ally Nyakie, “Sumbawanga District Commissioner.
“The training has been beneficial to me as I now know what to do and understand that culture can act as a capital as well as business which if well utilized can boost personal income and the that of the national,” Juma Mbonde, a trainee as well as an art student from the University of Dodoma in Tanzania.
“This training was a major breakthrough as it has made us realize that we are not supposed to only think of one side of the community but rather on how it stands to benefit us as participants. There are lots of cultures that have disappeared due to globalization, thus we should honor our traditional food to ensure we have a healthy nation,” Evath Tumaini, a community radio journalist and a participant.
“I pay an accolade to TAMCODE as we have seen your commendable work in Katavi and Rukwa regions to promote the Intangible Cultural Heritage.” Peter Simon, a senior cultural officer charged with the implementation of Convention 2003 within the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports in the mainland
“This training has come at the right time as our nation approaches the most important democratic processes and pass through times where technology is rapidly becoming present in various aspects of our lives, politically and economically” Hon. Jabir Shekimweri, the District Commissioner of Dodoma Municipal.
