As part of its Rural Women Cultivating Change project, TGNP is hosting a capacity-building workshop for community media journalists from Manyara, Kilimanjaro, and Morogoro regions.
Scheduled for May 29th, the workshop aims to bolster journalists’ ability to challenge negative norms within their communities, advocate for agroecology among rural women, and ultimately enhance food security.
TGNP has assigned TAMCODE as one of the facilitators to lead a session on journalistic skills, empowering journalists to tackle issues using a sociocultural approach.
Additionally, the session seeks to enable journalists to encourage rural women to pursue leadership roles in the upcoming local government elections.
The project is a joint effort between TGNP and PELUM.
