On August 19th, 2024, TAMCODE attended a consultative meeting conducted to members of the Council of Political Parties and women’s wings, in Dar es Salaam. Conducted by WILDAF the session saw participants engage in developing gender and social inclusion policy and the establishment of gender desks in accordance with the recent amendments to the Political Parties Act. The Registrar of Political Parties Justice Francis Mutungi officiated the session. Notably, TAMCODE Executive Director played the role of the rapporteur. The session comes ahead of the local government elections in Tanzania slated for November 2024 and the general elections slated for next year.
